Volunteer Opportunities & Orientations
Begin your 2012 by contributing to your community by donating time as a volunteer with the American Red Cross! The American Red Cross shelters, feeds, and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation\'s blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization - not a government agency - and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform it\'s mission. As a volunteer you can contribute to your community, enrich your life and enhance your resume. Whether you are retired, just finishing school, or between jobs, donating your time to the Red Cross in one of many different ways, including office assistance. To learn more about opportunities to volunteer, please call 804-435-7669 (River Counties) or 804-580-4933 (Northumberland) or come by the office at either the YMCA Building in Kilmarnock or Heathsville.
