Genealogy Course at Mary Ball Washington Museum & Library

The Mary Ball Washington Museum & Library in Lancaster will offer a five-week Genealogy Course May 15 - June 12, 2012.  Participants will learn and practice the fundamental tools and methods of researching family ancestry with instructor Carolyn Jett, a well-known local genealogist, historian, and author.  The course is suited to beginners or researchers with some experience.  The series of five classes will meet each Tuesday 10:00-12:00 at Trinity Church in Lancaster Court House.  The cost is $50 ($40 for MBWML members) and pre-paid registration is required by May 10.  To register, send name, mailing address, email, and phone number with a check payable to MBWML to PO Box 97, Lancaster VA 22503.  For more information, contact 804-462-7280, www.mbwm.org, or history@mbwm.org.
