To provide the opportunity for people to develop and expand their relationship with God and the world. The Center is an ecumenical organization. Our hospitality is open to seekers of God’s spirit from all walks of life and religious traditions. We strive to help people integrate experiences of everyday life with spiritual growth. We offer various forms of classes, retreats and quiet days.

To increase health care access for residents in rural eastern Virginia and Virginia's Eastern Shore by using telehealth technologies that link healthcare providers, patients, educators, consumers, and their families to a comprehensive continuum of health care.

BRTA offers telehealth education through the Three Rivers Health District Offices; Riverside Tappahannock Hospital, and The Orchard.
Through regularly scheduled outpatient telehealth clinics, patients in Virginia's Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula can receive care from Dermatology, Infectious Disease, Mental/Behavioral Health, Neurology, and other specialists practicing at UVA and VCU.
An expanded clinical telemedicine network with new sites for patient care is being implemented in late 2011-2012.
